A juried and judged visual art competition is a valuable experience for artists that elevates exposure of the artist’s work to the public, and enhances an artist’s resume. To be accepted into the show, submitted artwork must make it through the jurying process conducted by three independent judges. Criteria for judging includes creativity and innovation, composition, technical skill, execution, and an overall judges opinion. Once accepted, artwork will need to be delivered to the art center where the same panel of judges will spend an afternoon looking over the artwork on display, and based on pre-established criteria, will determine the winners.
Totaling $3,600, awards for the most talented artists will include
